I am delighted to confirm that the summer fete will be going ahead, however we still need to raise funds!!!
First of all, a MASSIVE thank you to all who contributed to the first campain, which managed to bring in just shy of £4,000. At the moment however we are still around £10,000 short of the overall amount needed, but we have agreed to underwrite the fete from our reserve fund. This will however leave absolutely nothing 'in the kitty' for future events such as the Christmas lights, the Christmas market or indeed the summer fete for 2019.
We have therefore just launched an additional crowdfunding campaign to go towards the big screen at the fete. This year, as ever, we will be showing the mens final at Wimbledon, and depending on how many sets this goes on for, may also have time to show the World Cup football final afterwards.
So please dig deep, tell your friends, neighbours and remind all the businesses along Northcote Road to get behind this fabulous community event - the Northcote Fete needs YOU...!!!
