Have you been to Emma Cannon?

Postby ForMyLittleMan » Tue Oct 02, 2018 1:14 pm

Hi,

I would love to know if any of you have been to see Emma Cannon and if so how was your experience? I'm not so interested in the actual results of whether you got pregnant or not, but I'm more interested in whether you feel that she really listened and got to know you as a patient, did she make useful insights, do you feel she is gifted, did she make recommendations about other areas of your life that might need adjusting etc ?

Of course the reason I'm considering going to see her is not being able to conceive and a much longed for baby. Originally I dismissed her as a feasible option due to her fees being so, so high. However, 2 years on and still no joy i'm thinking it's now or never and if she is the best in the business maybe it's worth the cost.

Would love to know how others experiences have been.
Many thanks

Hi FormyLittleMan,

We will call out your request in the Monday round up email. It would great to get people with experience of Emma Cannon to give you their thoughts.

Also, in case you haven't seen them, there are some older threads on Emma Cannon and other specialists which you may find interesting below but let's see if we can get responses from people with more recent experience.

I have heard great things about Emma but if cost is an issue I can thoroughly recommend who I used - Daniela at Feel Good Balham.

I have and saw her rather then one of her team.

If I’m really honest I didn’t go back because I felt she was incredibly impersonal and that I was just another patient - very quick to charge and to try and sell any number of other products.

I can highly recommend:

And the reflexologist Trudy:

http://wandsworthreflexology.co.uk/

Both of whom I would credit with getting me pregnant after very tricky times.

Much better value and one hundred times more personal.

To balance out the argument plenty of people are very happy with Emma and maybe I had her on a bad day.....

Hi

Like the previous post I also found Emma Canon really impersonal and unfriendly. I went for two sessions with her and didn’t go back.

I found the amazing Lucinda Burghes in Balham. She helped me through two pregnancies and sadly one miscarriage.
She’s an amazingly warm and friendly woman who really cares about her patients and wants to get to know you. I looked forward to our sessions and valued her advice.

Hi ladies

Yes I’ve been to Emma and found in my intial consultation she sat with me and listened . She looks at the whole story rather than just my periods etc . I booked a block of 10 and loved going to see her she now has a crystal bed which she combines with acupuncture. Emma is worth every penny you didn’t want to know if she gets results but yes she does ..... second child now on the way .... I’m thinking of booking another 10 sessions as I leave Emma’s clinic so relaxed and confident she is amazing good luck on your search for an accupunturist xxxx

I couldn't agree more Ladyjc76.

I have loved my experience with her and can't fault her approach; she really gauged what I needed and how I needed someone pragmatic but sympathetic.

Yes, she is worth every penny and, whilst she's based in Chelsea and that is expensive, she's ideally placed for supporting IVF at the Lister, for example, or visiting on the way home from work.

Hi, this maybe a belated reply but for anyone seeking support for fertility acupuncture in London, I strongly recommend Charlotte Steed.

She has also an abundance of experience and worked at the Zita West Fertility Clinic as part of their medical team. With her compassionate nature, consistent attentive manner and knowledge of fertility, and really relaxing acupuncture sessions, I conceived on my fourth IVF cycle.

This was the only cycle I had acupuncture for and I put it down to Charlotte's help and support. I had sessions in Blackheath and Canary wharf and she is extremely flexible with appointments, fitting me in on a Bank Holiday and weekend. This is a practitioner who loves what she does and really cares about her patients.

Interesting thread - It's nearly 10 years now but after a long, and often tough, rollercoaster, I went to PJ Cousin at Cure by Nature in Replingham Road? He is something of a legend, responsible for hundreds of babies, but super discreet. I truly believe our daughter would not be here without him? Best way to contact is to text the number on the CbN website. Good luck & don't give up - our family is testament to the latter!

Yes to Emma Cannon. I was doing IVF and given a 4% chance of conceiving,so I did everything including things I was not convinced about like acupuncture. Did a number of sessions with Emma Cannon starting immediately after implantation (or was it even just before?) Had my youngest child a few months later. Highly recommend her for her personal care, thoughtfulness.
