Moving to an unfurnished flat - where to find a "moving out" sale? Post Reply

Hello, we will be moving out from our small Zone 1 flat to a large, unfurnished flat in the Nappy valley! 
 I'd be keen to buy furniture from someone in the area, only I'd prefer to buy in bulk rather than chase the individual items across London. 

Any idea how to find someone local who is moving out and disposing of their furniture? I've tried FB marketplace and Gumtree with little success.

I should say, I had the same problem with the unfurnished flat but in Sydney. I was looking for such an option but with no success. A friend of mine, found out that I don’t want to deal with furniture removal, and advised me “man in a van” company and assured me that I won’t have to worry about anything. Since I couldn’t find furniture in bulk in the area I needed, so I decided to try this option. Well, she wasn’t joking. I should admit, I’ve never had an easier move. All the work has been done on the highest level. They packed, moved and unpacked all my stuff without any scratch.
