Teenager in serious condition after being shot in Wandsworth

A teenage boy has been left in a serious condition after being shot on Burfield Close, Wimbledon Road, Wandsworth just before the Easter bank holiday weekend.

The 16 year old remains in hospital in serious condition and his family has been informed.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

Anyone who witnessed this incident or has information but has not yet come forward is asked to call Trident on 101 quoting CAD8236/18APR, Tweet @MetCC or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

If there are any young people who either have information about violence or knife crime, they can visit www.fearless.org where they can pass on information anonymously.

Fearless is part of the Crimestoppers charity, and is also independent of the police.
