Worried about your plants when you are on holiday? Book them into a plant hotel in Battersea!

Postby Community Editor » Wed Aug 07, 2019 9:14 am

A hotel exclusively for houseplants has just opened in London, offering a lifeline to 'plant parents' who are worried about leaving their botanicals to wither during the summer holidays.

If you're worried about how your indoor plants will survive while you're away on holiday, then fear not because the Patch Plant Hotel – the brainchild of online plant shop Patch – is here to keep your plants alive and healthy in a '5-star all inclusive' botanicals-only hotel. It's free to book and even (plant) food and drinks are on the house.

Seriously, why has nobody ever thought of this before?!

The Patch Plant Hotel, located in Battersea, is now open for bookings until 5 September 2019 and there are 100 'rooms' up for grabs to accommodate your beloved leafy plants.

If you book in with the hotel, your plants will be taken care of by a team of specialists, ensuring they stay hydrated and loved whilst you enjoy a guilt-free, carefree break. You're even invited to share the personality traits and specific needs of your plants to ensure they get the very best care.

During their stay, leafy residents will receive a check-up from the in-house wellness team, which includes a custom hydration spa treatment. Sounds bliss!  'The hotel is a sanctuary for your beloved plants.

From sun-seeking plants to those who prefer a shady spot, the hotel accommodates for all luscious greenery, and when you return from your holiday, your plants will check-out in tip-top shape.

To book one of the rooms for your plant you'll need to head to patchplants.com/plant-hotel where you can enter the arrival and departure date, plus how many plants (indoor or outdoor) you want to check-in.

Once the booking has been confirmed, you'll be invited to drop off your precious cargo at the hotel in Battersea.

Freddie Blackett, CEO of Patch, explains: 'We all know the crushing disappointment when you return from holiday to find your plant has gone from green lusciousness, to a burnt, dry bunch of twigs. We wanted to open the hotel to give a helping hand to the increasing number of "plant parents".'

With the houseplant trend currently sweeping the Insta-generation, new research by Patch found that 67 per cent of Londoners bought a plant in the last year. With 130,000 plants sold via Patch in 2018, the online shop is on track to sell 300,000 by the end of this year.
