Moniker Art Fair moves to Chelsea - 2-6 October - urban art at its best

Moniker, the contemporary art fair with its roots embedded in urban culture, is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a move from Shoreditch to Chelsea to cement its role on the London art scene.

This October, Moniker Art Fair, which has earned a reputation as one of the most exciting contemporary art fairs with its roots embedded in urban culture, is moving home from Shoreditch to Chelsea.

To celebrate its 10th birthday, the International Art Fair, famed for attracting contemporary art collectors in their thousands to east London, will move to Chelsea Sorting Office on King’s Road.

The five day arts festival will to continue to push the narrative of urban art with a daily talks and film programme hosted by The Art Conference, as well as art workshops, immersive experiences, Live DJs and great food and drink. Moniker Art Fair has become a touchstone of the Shoreditch contemporary art scene, and the event’s galleries, artists and cultural programming is set to break new boundaries in west London’s traditional art scene, ushering in a new wave of collectors.

In London in 2018, Moniker stepped up its ambitions taking on bigger challenges and projects including a partnership with Berlin’s Urban Nation Museum, solo displays from Thinkspace Projects and exhibitions from members of legendary Parisian art collective DMV, Lee and Sowat, emerging British star Dan Rawlings and former graffiti-writing favourite Ann J Lewis.

The 2019 fair will continue in its unshakeable aims with ventures within the worlds of films, talks programmes, community collaborative events and exclusive performances.

Spring saw Moniker USA successfully transition from Brooklyn to Manhattan and, in a year of radical change, Moniker continues to be unafraid.

Moniker Art Fair runs from 2-6 October 2019 at Chelsea Sorting Office, 232 King’s Road, London SW3 5UA.
