Electric Charging Points around Northcote Road

Postby JP Battersea » Thu Sep 19, 2019 9:45 am

Hi,

We are thinking of buying an electric vehicle or hybrid.

Does anyone have any recent experience of using the electric charging points around the Northcote Road?  I.e. How easy is it to find an available lamppost charging point (there is one outside our house but there always seems to be another car parked there)?  How easy is it to get a space to use the dedicated electric charging bays?

Many thanks

We've just bought an electric car and are off Battersea Rise. It really depends on how often you need to charge it - we charge it roughly once a week but could go several weeks without a charge so not being able to get a charger on any one day hasn't been an issue. With the Source London chargers, you can reserve a slot. We've also charged it from the house a few times by running a cable into the house.

Hi there,

I was about to post exactly the same question as we are considering a hybrid or electric car too!! I wondered if anyone has any further thoughts/experience?

Thanks so much! x

Sadly the Blue City electric car sharing scheme is closing down next month, which will free up some of the Source London capacity.
