London's first Car Free Day is this Sunday, September 22nd

Postby Community Editor » Thu Sep 19, 2019 12:36 pm

This Sunday 22nd September is London Car Free Day and to celebrate, Wandsworth Cyclists are leading a family bike ride from Battersea Park to Clapham Common.⠀

The ride will be at a gentle pace along the river path and quiet roads and is suitable for all ages and abilities, although children must be accompanied by an adult.⠀

The group will be starting at 11am at Queen’s Circus, Battersea, SW11 4BY. Cyclists can either leave the ride at Clapham Common or return as a group to Battersea Park.⠀

If you have any questions, contact Wandsworth Cyclists on cyclewandsworth@gmail.com

Many parts of London will be closed to cars, see map below and all Santander bikes will be free to hire for the day.

If you fancy cycling over Tower Bridge or discovering other parts of London on two wheels, visit: https://www.london.gov.uk/events/2019-0 ... y-car-free

And if you don't fancy cycling but would like to enjoy a car free London, there are also walking tours available at: https://www.london.gov.uk/events/2019-0 ... y-car-free
