Renowned TV star and flamboyant dresser Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen donated items from his wardrobe to charity shop on Northcote Road.

Showing off some of his unique suits and shirts at the Shooting Star Children's Hospices' shop, Laurence said: “It’s a privilege to be part of such a vital charity.

"I’m thrilled to be able to celebrate the successful first year of the Northcote Road shop. It is full of wonderful pre-loved items from clothes to homeware. It’s a real honour to donate some suits and shirts from my own personal wardrobe, which I hope will help this fantastic charity raise money to ensure they can continue their vital support for families who so desperately need it.

"Did you know babies and children in Wimbledon, Putney and Battersea with life-limiting conditions are given respite and care at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices? Support your local children’s hospice by shopping or donating here." Laurence wore a number of the donated items on TV’s Changing Rooms and The Apartment. Some were customised and designed by Laurence personally.

Nigel Harding, chief executive of Shooting Star Children’s Hospices said: “We are honoured Laurence took the time to come to our Battersea shop and celebrate its first year, and to donate some exquisite suits for us to sell as well.

"Shooting Star Children’s Hospices receives very little financial support from the government so we rely heavily on fundraising to continue to provide a vital lifeline for families across London and Surrey.

"Our 13 shops play an important role in helping fund this service. Our Battersea shop has had great support from the local community in its first year and I encourage anyone who is yet to visit to come and see what wonderful things are on offer. In doing so you will be helping families facing the unimaginable get the support they need.”

What are you waiting for? Pop in! See if you can spot a Llewelyn-Bowen??
