Police, paramedics and fire crews were called to Tooting last night after a driver had a liquid thrown in his face during a car robbery.
Officers were called just before 8.30pm on Tuesday to Fircroft Road.
A man was reported to have been approached by a group of men who threw a liquid at him before stealing his car and driving off.
The victim, believed to be aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The substance was tested at the scene and was found to be water.
Police have yet to make any arrests and enquiries are ongoing.
