Boris Johnson urges people to stay at home as Britain goes into lock down

Postby Community Editor » Mon Mar 23, 2020 8:39 pm

Boris Johnson has just made a public statement - he has urged people to stay home and instituted a lock down except in very necessary circumstances.

The only shopping allowed will be for essentials like food and medicine. Use food delivery services where possible

People will be allowed to exercise outside - but keep this to once a day.

People will be allowed to go out for medical reasons or if they are providing care.

Travelling to and from work is allowed only when necessary and cannot be done from home.

If people don't follow the rules, police can issue fines.

All shops will be closed other than food shops and pharmacies.

All gatherings of more than two people will be dispersed, all social events are banned, excluding funerals.

Parks will remain open for exercise but gatherings will be dispersed.

The PM urged us to pull together during this time of crisis.
