It’s brought us LA nights, lost worlds and snow kingdoms in locations all over town and now Backyard Cinema is re-opening its permanent home in Wandsworth for another series of immersive screenings. To celebrate the return, Backyard Cinema is bringing back the Winter Night Garden hidden behind a magical wardrobe entrance (The Snow Kingdom will follow later in the year). The programme is a mix of new releases, sing-a-longs and old faves, including Aladdin, Parasite, Queen & Slim, Dirty Dancing, Moulin Rouge, Jojo Rabbit and Do The Right Thing.
As well as the movies, you’ll be able to enjoy cocktails on tap and street food from Honest Burger and Mother Clucker. The capacity at Capital Studios has been reduced and other social distancing measures have been put in place to make it safe, and they’re also hosting two days of free screenings for NHS workers.
