Bike stolen from under NHS worker's nose

Postby Community Editor » Fri Aug 14, 2020 9:22 am

A man is offering a £500 reward for his red push bike, which was stolen on Tuesday (Aug 11), from outside Rockingham Food and Wine, SW15.

"The bike was stolen while I watched from 5 feet away. It was propped up inside the local shop's doorway, as I was paying for a couple of ice-creams. This was my end of work-day reward from my NHS shift," he said.

He said that two males drove up on a moped, with one jumping off to grab the bike. After riding it for a few metres, he grabbed onto the moped-driver and whizzed even faster down the road.

"At this point, I must have looked in utter despair and a kindly car driver stopped, asked what happened and he drove me in the direction they had gone - towards Richmond Park. I rang the police whilst in the car. We lost sight of them and couldn't find them.

"My safe means of transport to get me to the hospital and back has now gone and I am angry, dejected and at a loss as to what can be done. This was such a brazen theft, in full view of me, the shop owner and CCTV cameras," he said.

"I would like my bike to be returned so I can get on with my normal life!"

The bike is a Sunset Red Santa Cruz blur. If you have any information please contact: bikereward2020@gmail.com
