Trude’s Grocery, a brand new local independent grocer, is set to open in Clapham Common tomorrow, is cause for fanfare.

With a focus on local, seasonal and organic produce, Trude’s promises to be a welcome addition to The Pavement.

Founded by Alex Trude, who grew up in Brixton and loved going to the market with his parents to buy food for the weekend, Trude’s will be a thoroughly modern grocery store, offering a more ethical and sustainable alternative to the local supermarket.

Combining the convenience and range of produce of a local supermarket with the quality of a deli and the charm of a traditional London market, you’ll find an expertly curated selection of meat, fish, dairy, charcuterie, fruit, vegetables, baked goods and store cupboard essentials, all sourced from independent farmers and producers.

Trude’s will also offer takeaway hot drinks, refillable dry goods and a range of delivery boxes to customers within a two-mile radius of the store.

To celebrate opening, Trude’s is offering customers a free coffee on launch day, Saturday 5 December. To claim yours, simply follow Trude’s Grocery on Instagram @trudesgrocery, screenshot the post promoting the offer (once it’s live), present in-store and choose from any coffee on the menu.

Trude’s will be open 7am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and 8am to 6pm on Sunday at 10 The Pavement, Clapham Common SW4 0HY. See trudes.co.uk
