More than 120 people attended Wandsworth Council’s Covid-19 vaccination information event last night (Thursday 25 Feb).
Wandsworth Council's cabinet member for adult social care and health, Cllr Claire Salier, said: “The event was a great success and we would like to thank all of those that took part and attended. We discussed the vaccinations and responded to some frequently asked questions.
“Thank you for your questions regarding the vaccines and please rest assured that we will be responding to them on our webpage as soon as we can. In the meantime, please read most frequently asked questions on the council website COVID-19 vaccine - Wandsworth Borough Council
“We will be holding another event on Sat 20th March – at this event we will have a live Question and Answer session and we will publish details shortly.”
The event, featuring a panel of local clinicians and Public Health leaders, shared information about how Covid-19 vaccines have been developed and tested, their safety and addressed some frequently posed concerns from residents in Wandsworth.
So far over 250,000 residents, across South West London, have had their first vaccination – which is the best protection for yourself and others against coronavirus.
It is very important that we all still follow guidelines such as Hands, Face, Space and please Stay Home, Protect the NHS, Save Lives.
The NHS will let you know when it's your turn to have the vaccine. It is important not to contact the NHS for a vaccination before then, unless you are aged 70 or over and have not yet received your vaccination.
