Wandsworth Arts Fringe Festival is taking place from 25 June - 11 July

The treasure trove of creativity that is WAF bursts into Wandsworth for two weeks from 25 June - 11 July 2021. Every year, WAF shakes up South West London with an eclectic programme of arts and culture that thrills, moves and inspires audiences from across the city.

WAF is an open access arts festival. There is no selection process so everyone can jump on board.

Since 2010, WAF has brought together hundreds of creatives in a bold and boundary pushing annual line-up of cutting-edge theatre and comedy, exquisite music concerts, art exhibitions, experimental performance art, outdoor art extravaganzas, and everything in between, taking place across the borough.

For 2020, WAF was transformed into WAF In Your Living Room, a digital festival showcasing 250 artists across 130 digital events that reached over 30,000 homes, and delivered creative activity packs to 2,100 local families.

Originally introduced in 2018 as a provision for housebound audiences, WAF In Your Living Room 2020, opened up WAF to more people than ever before. It is from our longstanding commitment to champion artists and help make their work accessible to as many art-lovers as possible that this important strand of the festival will continue in 2021.

Building on the incredible success of WAF In Your Living Room, WAF returns this year with a hybrid arts festival, presenting both digital and live events. The festival is emphatically inclusive and welcomes participation from artists across all art forms. WAF also offers development support such as professional and peer advice, networking events and marketing toolkits to actively support its participants to realise their ideas to excellent standards.

WAF is dedicated to providing meaningful support to creative talent, from established arts organisations to school children, WAF provides a democratic platform and support network for everyone that wants to take part. Wandsworth Arts Fringe is brought to you by Wandsworth Council, supporting the arts and culture industries across the borough. The festival is funded by Wandsworth Council and has received generous contributions from Arts Council England.

Are you a local artist, creative producer, or arts organisation? The team is working hard to support local artists and cultural organisations with the impact the COVID-19 pandemic is having on their practices and businesses. Please get in touch with arts@wandsworth.gov.uk if you are being affected and would like advice on what support might be available. A list of support currently available to arts organisations is also available on the Council website
