Wandsworth Council has teamed up with the School of Communication Arts (SCA) to help Wandsworth residents into a 12-month online advertising school.
SCA is a leading advertising school seeking out emerging talent and nurturing them to become the next generation of creative superstars.
The opportunity to take part in the online course is part of the STRIDE programme, which is funded by Wandsworth, Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham Councils to promote the creative and technology sectors to women and the BAME community.
The SCA course starts in September. A laptop is provided to successful applicants, and course fees are normally covered by STRIDE.
There are daily online classes and lectures plus practical coursework where you will be trained to receive campaign briefs and work precisely to the client’s requirements.
At the end you will get the opportunity to showcase your work at the Portfolio Day event, where hundreds of advertising industry professionals scout out new talent.
Applicants will be invited to chat to the faculty Dean and then take part in an open day – the next is on July 27.
To apply you must be over 18 and live in Wandsworth. To find out more visit schoolcommunicationarts.com.
STRIDE works with the council’s Work Match team to promote local opportunities.
