In partnership with Wandsworth Council, Enable Leisure and Culture will be hosting a summer activity programme at Fishponds Playing Fields over the school holidays.
From Monday (July 26) the site will be open daily from 10am-6pm to the general public and will be a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the green space, taking part in a range of activities for the whole community over the summer.
A multi-sport kids camp
will run every Tuesday and Thursday morning for under 11s from 10am-11:30am, there will be a weekly led walk
enjoying both the playing fields and neighbouring area as well as plenty of opportunities for young people and adults to be active including a Couch to 5K
and Teens Fitness
With sporting equipment to borrow and fun to be had at the existing playground, Fishponds Playing Fields will be available for the whole community to enjoy this summer.
To celebrate the site and its importance to the local community, Forever Fishponds and Enable Leisure & Culture will be organising a Fishponds Community Fun Morning
on Saturday August 7 from 10am-12 noon to encourage local residents to access the fields and learn more about the regular opening times and summer activities.
Wandsworth Council cabinet member for community services and open spaces Cllr Steffi Sutters said: “We’re delighted that the public will be able to access this open space over the summer and enjoy activities for people of all ages.
“There are further activities and classes planned so please do keep an eye on the Enable & EnableParks twitter feeds for further information as our summer programme gets updated.”
Other summer activities for young people in Wandsworth will include the Summer Unlocked
scheme for children in receipt of free school meals. You can also visit Thrive Wandsworth

A full programme of activities at Fishponds will go live on the Enable website
