A cyclist has died in hospital following a crash with another rider that caused him to suffer a medical emergency. The man in his 40s died shortly after arriving in hospital.

Officers from the Met Police and crews from the London Ambulance Service (LAS) descended on Balham High Street in Balham just after 8.20am this morning (Wednesday, October 6) after reports of a crash.
Police said that it appears there was a collision between two cyclists before the man was taken ill and rushed to hospital.
Another bike user who rode past the incident reported seeing a cyclist "covered in blood" describing the scene as "pretty horrific".
The man who died is believed to be in a man in his mid-40s who died a short while after arriving at hospital.
LAS confirmed it sent an ambulance crew, an incident response officer, a clinical team manager, and two medics in cars to the emergency and were there within two minutes of the 999 call.
In a statement from the Met Police , a spokesperson said: "Officers were called by London Ambulance Service at 8.22am on Wednesday, October 6 to Balham High Road at the Junction with Bedford Hill.
"A man in his mid-40s was at the location suffering a medical emergency. He was taken to hospital where he died a short while later.
"At this early stage there appears to have been a collision between two cyclists before the man was taken ill."
Balham High Road is still currently closed while police investigate.
The man's next of kin have been informed.
