Boy, 13, fighting for life after crash near Stockwell Tube

A boy is fighting for his life after being hit by a car yesterday morning (March 27) in south London.

The boy, 13, was hit near Stockwell tube station at 7.43am on Clapham Road.

Police were at the scene with paramedics from London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance.

The boy has been taken to hospital in a critical condition. His family have been informed. Road closures are in place as emergency services deal with the crash.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "Officers were called at 7.43am on Monday, 27 March near Stockwell Station, Clapham Road, SW9.

"A pedestrian, believed to be a boy aged around 13, had been in a collision with a car.

"London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance have attended the scene.

"The boy has been taken to hospital in a critical condition. The boy's family have been informed. 

"Local road closures are in place while emergency services deal."
