When we can travel again ....

Postby travelmattersuk1 » Mon Jun 22, 2020 1:53 pm

It's been over two months since all our future travel plans were put on hold as a result of the Coronavirus outbreak. However, whilst we still may be in a position of uncertainty and restrictions continue to change, we're thrilled to see the first signs of recovery within the travel industry.  Foreign shores may still look like a distant dream but we know that many of you are desperate for a summer getaway and we've got some exciting UK breaks on offer.
Parents are thinking differently about sustainability and many more are keen to take a UK holiday according to new new research.  Lockdown has brought many families closer together and made parents re-evaluate what's important and prompted them to think differently about their holidays as lockdown restrictions ease, according to new research commissioned by Luxury Family hotels and conducted by Mumsnet.  80% of parents surveyed say that they have enjoyed the additional time spent together as a result of lockdown, and 76% say their children have enjoyed the additional time spent together.  67% say lockdown has brought them closer together as a family and 70% say that it has made them re-evaluate what's important as a family.
Holidays at home are part of our history, so this might be the time to explore more of our green and pleasant land and fall back in love with the classic British holiday.

We may not be able to travel abroad right now but do also give us a call if you're looking for an extra-special post lockdown getaway (there are still plenty of opportunities to go away this year) or planning a much-needed foreign holiday later in the year or in 2021.

Finally, there's no doubt about it that our world has been shaken this year, spare a moment to read Karen's very personal 2020 travel reflections https://www.travelmatters.co.uk/blog/ap ... hrough2020  Despite the setbacks, doubts and fears, we can now start to look ahead to fresh adventures #maketravelmatter.
