Where to go in early October

Hi all,

My husband and I are considering taking a short break (5 days or so) 'sans' our DS in October who will then be 18 months and happy to stay with his grandparents. We have never traditionally travelled at that time of the year so any recommendation of somewhere not too far and still hot at that time would be ace!
