By signing I if successful you will stop local councils from making new rules only for revenue to local council and not for road safety reasons!
This will prevent them from being used as cash cows, by introducing local road restrictions that were not  necessary for safety reasons, unfairly.  Using the motorist to fund other none vehicle-related things.

Why would you want to disincentivise any organisation from ensuring roads are safer? Or is the real motivation behind your campaign that you don’t like being told what is safe driving “because I know better”?

Why would you do this?  Central government push all kinds of responsibility on to the Councils, then slash funding to local governments and cap the amount local governments are allowed to raise through, e.g., council tax.
