Travel decisions, decisions...

Postby LdS » Sun Jan 15, 2012 5:43 pm

OK so we've narrowed our choices down to the 3 resorts below for hols end of May or mid June (prices depending).

Martinhal
Sani Beach Club
Chia Laguna

I know that some of you have been to these resorts so would very much appreciate why you enjoyed going there and what was important to you.

We have an ants in his pants toddler of 2 - will be 2 1/2 when we fly - so any tips would be great too..

Thanks all!!

Hi there

I've only been to sani village so I can't make any comparisons.
I just wanted to point out that the beach club is quite removed from the main resort/marina complex. There is no path to walk with a buggy (that we could find) so you are reliant on the golf buggies or walking on the beach.

We loved the sani village. Would reccomend half board option as there is a dine around scheme that works out good value.

Hth!

I have been to Sani as well and agree that the beach club is miles away so rule that one out. We stayed in the village and it was lovely, really geared up for kids in terms of food and activities. The baby club is great, all english staff and the layout of the resort is very manageable (it takes about 20mins to walk all around the marina). Totally recommend - the only problem we had was that we were in a first floor apartment and had a 13month old and buggy so we had to swap to a ground floor. ALso be aware that there is nothing to do near the resort, you have to stay put pretty much so if you were imagining visits to local villages you will be disappointed.
We did half board, i think this is the best option, the main restuaurant was the best,
Enjoy

Hello, Tips for flying with ants-in-the-pants toddlers at http://www.totstoo.com/tips

To help you make up your mind, here are some genuine reviews by Tots Too guests who have been to Martinhal...
http://www.totstoo.com/reviews_martinhal

...and to Porto Sani Village (part of the Sani Resort)
http://www.totstoo.com/reviews_porto-sani-village

The weather will be better in Greece at that time of year (meaning warmer swimming pools too), giving Sani the edge, but both places are wonderful!

Tots Too is offering 20% off stays at Porto Sani Village 27 Apr - 25 May, or 10% off for stays 26 May - 23 Sep '12, if you book by the end of Feb.

Early bookers can get 10% off at Martinhal for the time of year you're planning, which also makes for a good saving (book 90 days before arrival).

Or feel free to call the team at Tots Too for personal recomendations for your family... 020 7284 3344 :)

Hi,

We went to Sani Beach last August with my then 3 year old and nearly 2 year old.

I would agree with the comments about the Beach Club being far removed from the rest of the resort. We were in a junior suite which was basically a double room with a cot and out up bed so there was no privacy or lie in's when one sibling would wake the other up! I thought the room was a little shabby round the edges too.

The food and staff were excellent and beach, facilities, pools etc great.

I wasn't very impressed with the toddler club and our children appeared to be quite bored, however for older children I think the club and activities looked excellent.

I have two friends who have stayed at the Chia Laguna and rave about it.

have a wonderful time wherever you go!
