Any recommendations for Scotland?

Postby Mills1234 » Wed Jan 27, 2016 10:01 pm

Can anyone recommend a lovely self-catering cottage in Scotland for a family of 4 (double room and twin), that will take 2 dogs? Alternately, a family/dog friendly boutique hotel? I seem to be struggling to track much down online, so am obviously looking in the wrong places!

Have a look on alastair sawdays website. You can search for dog friendly properties. Where exactly are you thinking of staying?

I had tried Sawdays but not much comes up unfortunately for dogs and children. Will double check. Not much further north than Skye, but pretty relaxed on location below there.

Hi

When are you looking for? My mum is just finishing decorating a cottage for rent.
It is 3 en suite rooms so sleeps 6. Plus there is a dorm type room that could sleep 3 children.

It is half an hour form Inverness near a small village called Farr. It is set in it's own grounds with a tennis court and a long drive so the kids can bike safely. There is also a loch nearby for swimming and picnics and moorland behind for walking.

Drop me a line if interested dounemac@hotmail.com

We are currently renovating a 3 bed bungalow in the Highlands in a small town called Newtonmore. We are more than happy to take 2 dogs. The house is set up on a hill surrounded by stunning walks in the hills. Every window has stunning views across the mountains.

We have not got a website yet but I can send you photos of the location and outside and photos of the inside after our next visit in Feb half term. We have plenty of availability at the moment!

Hi there,
Try this place, its amazing!
http://www.thetorridon.com/boat-house/

It has a double and twin and is down the road from the hotel where you can eat in the evening should you decide against your own catering. Beautiful area too, lots of walking. I have been and highly recommend it. Any more questions pls do ask :)

Just shout if of any interest.
