Registering birth with Lambeth

Hi there,
We were planning to register my newborn’s birth as soon as he is born (dd 28/07) - as we need to travel to France W/c 20/08.
However the earliest I can get an appointment to register at Lambeth is 23/08 (I’m giving birth in St Thomas’) we won’t be able to get a passport until early September.
Any advice on how to register a birth quickly via Lambeth would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

The registrar's office does have some daily walk in appts up to 4 I think booked on first come first served basis when the doors open.

Do you live in Lambeth? If not you register them in your home borough. My kids were born at St Thomas’s but registered at Wandsworth Town Hall as I live in Wandsworth.
