Low self esteem therapy recommendations please..

Postby SWlover » Sun Jan 22, 2017 11:10 pm

Hi All,

I'm sick of feeling the way I do and have decided I want to make this year a good one - does anyone have any experience with a therapist who deals with this at all?

I've had a look online and some seem really expensive - I know you can't put a price on happiness but I'm not in the position to spend tooooo much on this at the moment..

I'd really appreciate any recommendations or advice from anyone who has suffered with similar and has found a way to overcome it..

Thank you...x

Hi there,

When clients ask me, I refer them to Dr Catterall. She is a clinical physiologist and therapist specialising in a range of issues. She is based in Balham and can see you privately in her practice or visit you at home if you are reasonably local. The idea behind seeing a psychologist is to work on practicle steps to improve how you feel and in turn how to put these into practise in your own life. She has a warm, non judgemental approach and demeanour. I personally think she is reasonably priced, however I don't know your budget.

Best of luck!

This lady is amazing. She's helped me through lots of issues. I know it's a bit far but she does Skype consultations as well.
Good luck

Hello Sleeping Bunny

I am about to qualify with a diploma in Solution Focussed Hypnotherapy and Pschychotherapy. Self-esteem issues are very much part of what we do on our course at Brighton University!

There would be no charge. I live near Clapham South and could see you at my house or I could come to you whichever suits.

Kind regards

Heavens to Betsy.

Hi SWLover,

WAP in Balham has a good low cost service: http://www.wandsworthap.co.uk/ and an experienced psychotherapist would assess your needs in the first instance.

I am a therapist (BACP registered http://www.bacp.co.uk/) in south west London who posts on here when I see someone needing some help.

If you want an off the record chat about what to do, who to contact etc. send me a a message. We could speak on the phone or email or Skype etc.

Good luck and well done for reaching out to this community.

David
