How to boost your Alpha brainwaves and optimise your Brain’s Capacity?

Postby wellbeingsolution » Wed Jun 03, 2020 2:21 pm

The human brain is made up of neurons that communicate with each other via electrical signals creating wave-like patterns called brainwaves. German psychiatrist Hans Berger who invented electroencephalogram (EEG) was able to measured Alpha brainwaves as a first type of electrical activity of the brain.

There are 5 different types of brainwaves, all of which move at different speeds and they are constantly changing throughout the day. The slow brainwaves are produced when we feel calm and relaxed, and the higher frequency brainwaves will be activated when we are in the alert or stressed state.

There is correlation between an increase of alpha brainwaves and improvement of creativity, focus and concentration. Alpha waves (8-12Hz) can be created by doing aerobic exercise, meditation and mindfulness training. This can be an effective way to stimulate creative thinking, improve mental skills and achieve relaxation.

Dr Patrick Porter has dedicated his life to neuroscience and created BrainTap technology to provide the mind and body with all the benefits of meditation in much shorter space of time and without the disciplined effort. “Optimising Your Brain’s Capacity” is one of several sessions available at BrainTap App that combines the perfect symmetry of sound, music, and spoken word to restore your brain balance and create better focus and concentration.
