Botox for hyperhidrosis Post Reply

Has anyone had Botox injections for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)?
I’d be interested in hearing the pros and cons and also in any recommendations for clinics (local or central London)

Yes, for underarm. Not explored re hands / feet / other areas of the body. Managed to get on NHS but understand that coverage under NHS is extremely rare. If you have the means, then MiraDry is the way forward. Not cheap (c. £1.2k) but most people only require one treatment in order to eradicate 85% of perspiration. Only avaliable for underarms though. Looking at it financially, the cost of one MiraDry treatment represents better value in the long term (vs multiple botox injections every 6 months or so, which quickly add up).

I should have added:
Pros = quick, mostly pain-free, very small recovery window (matter of minutes!), low up-front cost (initially as compared other solutions), invisible, no material side effects, convenient as widely offered by private clinics
Cons = temporary, requires regular top-ups, more expensive in long term.
