What will the day include?
The morning with begin with a mindful flowing practice with plenty of time to focus, move, breathe and explore postures and movement patterns. Expect to unwind tensions, find strength and vitality, centre your attention inwards and have a little yoga playtime with some postures. We will also have the opportunity to meet each other as a group and explore some self-development journaling exercises. A wholesome and delicious lunch with be freshly prepared for you by local Northcote Road food business Isabella's Pantry. As well as a morning smoothie, afternoon hot drink and yummy treats for our breaks. In the afternoon we will move into the restorative side of yoga where you will be lead through breathing exercises which are a great antidote to stress and can be used off the yoga mat in your everyday lives. We will then practice restorative yoga to find rest and nurturing and yoga nidra to take you into the ultimate relaxation state. We will finish the day with a sound bath using Tibetan singing bowls, Shamanic drum and chimes to restore balance to the physical, emotional and mental aspects of your wellbeing. Allowing you to arrive back into your day feeling harmonious, grounded and connected. The retreat will be taught by experienced yoga teacher Jo Harris and the Sound bath is led by holistic therapist, Laura Devonshire.
