gynaecologist recommendation please

Postby Lulubear » Tue Nov 29, 2016 4:48 pm

I wondered if anyone could recommend a good gynaecologist for a second opinion on some post-birth problems. It seems I have been stitched up wrongly after (vaginal) birth which has taken a long time to be discovered. As I had a rather rushed NHS appointment on this I would like to pay for a better discussion and examination privately although I will need to have the op on the NHS as insurance won't cover it. Therefore, I wondered if anyone could recommend a gynaecologist with knowledge of this area who might be suitable to give me a thorough examination and an opinion/report on what has happened? I am also seriously considering suing the NHS hospital but would like to be clearer first as to what the situation is! Thank you.

I'm sorry to hear of what has happened to you. As if giving birth isn't traumatic enough, without having to then deal with all this too (and look after a baby!)

I can highly recommend Miss Leila Hanna who is a private consultant at The Blackheath Hospital and also The Sloane / Chelsfield Park in Kent.

Both my mother and I have seen her over the years and I also saw her in August for a post-natal check up as I was worried about the stitching I had following the birth of my daughter in May. She is excellent and one of the best in the field, though that comes at a price so obviously it would be good if you can involve your insurers too.

Hope that helps and I also hope you manage to get things resolved and you feel much better soon.

I'm sorry to hear that you have had such a horrid time.

I can really highly recommend Miss Jeannie Yoon who is a private consultant based at the Lister and at the Portland. She is incredibly kind and supportive but also very practical and no-nonsense. I have recommended her to friends who have been equally impressed.

Good luck. I hope you manage to resolve things soon.

Sorry to hear you are having problems and it is totally understandable you are seeking a second opinion. I highly recommend Mr Raza . You can see him on the Fulham Road at The Woman's Wellness Centre, Chelsea and Westminster and possibly The Lister Hospital (I think).
You can call 020 7751 4488 (The Womans Wellness Centre) and ask for his PA Claire's details. This is my first post ever on NNN as I feel so strongly about the super Mr Raza. Good luck.

I looked at the link for Mrs Hanna and met her, she was rude and not sympathetic at all. I would not go and see her or recommend her to anyone.
