Made.com issue flatpack nightmare

Postby jg75 » Mon Mar 04, 2019 10:46 am

Hi, I’ve just bought some furniture from made.com. They say they don’t provide an assembly service for this and the instructions are unintelligible. Has anyone got any genius ideas of a local person who might be able to help? This is beyond anything IKEA would do, we have assembled a lot of flatpack furniture in the past but this is another level, instructions are unbelievably complicated and don’t really make sense. I need it quite urgently and the company being unhelpful so would love a solution to this expensive problem. Thank you.

Hello,

I know Nick from CleanLetts who is a handyman that has done other types of jobs for me in the past. I am told he is a wizard at assembling flatpack stuff.

I don't have his direct number, but you can arrange an appointment with his office manager Jenny on 02087642669.

Hi, my Partner is a handyman/carpenter.
Do you have a link to the furniture that needs assembling?
Please email to handymanpeter2013@gmail.com
Thank you.

I recommend Task rabbit. It's a website to find a while range of services. You can often find someone to come on the same day.

I've used them for anything frompvong large furniture to assembly to plumbing.

Thanks for the really helpful replies. I’ve found a solution but will note these recommendations as I’m sure they’ll come very handy in future!
