Dog-sitter

Postby EmmaB » Tue Apr 23, 2019 1:43 pm

I am hoping to find someone to look after our dog over May Half term (25th may - 1st June). She is a 3 year old Cavapoo. Amazing with children and very low maintenance.  She loves a walk / run but equally happy relaxing at home. Please let me know if you know of anyone that might be interested.

Many thanks

Hey

My husband is on gardening leave at the moment and spending all his time outdoors and was saying the other day how much he’d love a dog for some company! Could be the perfect partnership!

Would you be able to have the dog stay with you? She is very easy and well behaved. Let me know if this could work.

The recommendation in my post above to OP, is from a person who has 2 dogs. Both from puppies and a year apart. One 6yrs. the other 5yrs.  I don't have any pets at the moment because that would be my dilemma...Who would look after my pets while I holiday...
I just thought to recommend https://www.trustedhousesitters.com/ and https://www.borrowmydoggy.com/ because I saw for myself how this dog owner loves her dogs and responsible enough to find a reputable website/company. Even in the two days I spent with said person and dogs, it is a big responsibility. Each have own personalities.
It's early days, owner only used twice and had great success.
To OP, please vet (check character or reputation of whom you leave your precious dog with) much appreciated,as I have commented on your post.

The Dogfather is great. 2 of my neighbours use them and I always note how friendly they are to the dogs when they pick up, drop off etc. They have a kennel too but I think it must get quite booked up as another friend (I recommended DF to her) left it to late to book last year, she also uses them for walking.
