micro scooters - next level up

Postby mother233 » Sun Jul 10, 2011 8:10 pm

My daughter is very happy on her 3 wheeler micro scooter but for her 4th birthday, I'm thinking of upgrading her to a 2 wheeler. Is it really more fun or should we just stick with the 3 wheeler?
Thanks

I went for the next size up of micro scooter its silver and has 2 wheels. My daughter loves it. You can fold it and carry it easily but a little heavier than smaller one. My son was ready to have 3 wheeled one so it was time. My daughter was 4 too

I think it is a different feel and it depends on what they like it "to be". If they want a skateboard feeling, then 3 wheels and a ball is more like it, but if they want a classic scooter balancing forward and steering, then two wheels is the thing. I have bought my daughter the 3 wheel one for her 4th birthday and I will buy her the ball as an "extra" for Christmas or next year, when she will be proficient and in need of a new challenge :D
Good luck! I hope your choice is very successful!

I found the 2 wheeler scooter a good precursor to learning to ride a bike - it helps them to learn to balance.

Thanks for all the replies - we're going to try the 2 wheeler then!
