Help! Photos of old bar / cafe needed for neighbour dispute

Postby Em1978 » Wed Sep 02, 2020 8:45 am

Calling all long-term Earlsfield residents... Does anyone have a photo of the old Carluccio's or Box Bar ceiling? We live above it and since Gail's moved in we can hear even whispering and know the sound proofing was removed but can't prove it. Please help so we can get some sleep!

I can’t help with the photos, or finding proof but I do feel bad for you.
I pop in occasionally in the mornings upon opening 7am and wow some days the music is on so loud I can barley hear the staff talking. Windows/doors wide open they have no respect for the local residents.

Ok, I understand that there’s some degree of chance when living above a commercial property-HOWEVER- they really don’t have to go above and beyond to make noise so early in the morning.

Jewellery Quarter, can you email them to Emelia.Stiller87at gmail dot com?

I'd be so grateful! Anything that might help!!

I go down in my dressing gown at 7am begging them to be quiet but they just shug and carry on. Their HQ keep saying the company is too small to deal with little complaints.... absolute rubbish!!

Have you contacted the Council? https://www.wandsworth.gov.uk/environme ... ial-noise/

Also, slightly pandemic and music specific, but I had heard that hospitality businesses were not permitted to play any above 85 decibels at present? https://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus- ... t-12084433
