Internet provider SW4

Postby ladymacbeth » Mon Oct 12, 2020 2:31 pm

Hi all

We are changing providers (we are with TalkTalk currently) as we are having problems with frequent disconnections (not speed per se, I think) while WFH during the day. We did not have problems before WFH, we always watched films etc with no disruption (and still in the evening this is the case). We don't do games.

Anybody has good experience with a provider please? I have been searching reviews and they are ALL appalling.

Thanks so much

I'd recommend Zen https://www.zen.co.uk/ unhesitatingly, but check the speed you can get in your street.  They also have superb customer service.  Hope that helps.

Thanks so much Chorister, I had never heard of them, but it has the best reviews I have seen! Will call them tomorrow.

This maybe to do with local lines not provider. They all use BT to carry signal apart from virgin so might still have problems after change. Go for high speed fiber optic which must have clear line to work.

Thanks so much Roangel. Yes, you are right, it could be local lines as in my postcode we do not have fiber optic. I am not sure how they plan to cover the areas, who gets prioritised... I saw an ad that Virgin has arrived at Abbeville Road, but I am closer to the common...

Are you in an area covered by community fiber? Swapped over to them from talk talk 3 years ago, much better service and connection!
