Recommended tutor for additional maths GCSE

Postby wineandcheese » Tue Dec 01, 2020 4:45 pm

My Year 11 son has recently started doing Additional Maths at school and, as he is quite late to the game, I was wondering if anyone could please recommend a tutor who might be able to help him catch up?  He is very able but could do with a bit of structured coaching. Thank you.

Hi, my son is tutoring Additional Maths. He graduated from Imperial this summer.
Let me know if you’d like me to put you in touch or see his CV.

I am a (part time) maths teacher in a small local independent school with lots of experience of 1:1 tuition. We teach additional maths so I am familiar with the syllabus. I may be able to help depending upon the timing and frequency of tuition required. I suggest you PM me if you would like an exploratory chat/meet.

Hi Wine and Cheese,

Do let us know if we can help.  We are a local agency based in Balham and we specialise in highly qualified teachers and tutors. Here is a bio of one of our tutors who may be able to help your boy should you still be looking.

C is a fully qualified teacher with a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics from the University of Oxford, an MSc in Physics and a PhD in Economics. She is an experienced Mathematics tutor who has a great deal of experience teaching in schools, as well as tutoring 1:1 and in small groups. C has taught GCSE and A-Level Maths and Further Maths for many years in secondary schools and is familiar with all major examination boards (Edexcel, AQA& OCR). C is tutoring online at the moment due to COVID19.
