Parents visiting Nursery schools

Postby Tulip2018 » Wed May 19, 2021 12:24 am

Hi Everyone,
Whilst I’m hugely grateful and have admiration for the way in which my child’s nursery has operated during Covid, I’m beginning to feel frustrated by the lack of parental involvement and admission to the setting.
With the rules are relaxing I’m trying to understand why I can go to a packed restaurant or pub but not into my child’s nursery.
I’m interested to know what other nurseries are doing in the area.
- Are parents allowed to go in?
- Are they doing any live performances of shows/ assemblies etc?
Thank you.

Ours isn’t allowing any parents in and it’s quite frustrating as we’ve seen potential parents have show rounds!

Hi Tulip2018,

I think that your experience will be fairly standard at present.  Early years settings have to follow this guidance which outlines what they are/are not permitted to do: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... 9-pandemic
