Good condition duvets & pillows - are any local charities accepting these?

Please respond with contact details of any local charitable organisation / shelter who are accepting clean duvets and pillows. The council advice is to throw them away as they can't be recycled or donated but that's crazy if they are in good condition, clean and re-usable right?! Many thanks. R.

I'm afraid I don't know of any charities that might take them (other than dogs' homes, but it sounds like they're a bit too good for those!). However absolutely don't throw them away; join your local branch of Freecycle (it's free), put up a post about it and you'll hear from someone who'd like them and will arrange to come and collect them from your house. I've used Freecycle a lot in lockdown when I did clear-outs but the charity shops were shut, and there were always appreciative recipients.

Ace of Clubs would as they help supply resources to the homeless. They are just off Clapham Common
