Ideas for a hamper for a mum and her first baby

Postby rayban » Wed Jun 09, 2021 3:31 pm

Hi
I am organising a bag full of goodies for a friend who has just given birth and would love ideas for what I should include, don't have any children of my own yet so flying a bit blind. I've got quite a bit to spend as we've collected from a number of friends so it should be fun!

Any suggestions gratefully received! I want to include gifts that are both fun and useful. Nappies, champagne, massage vouchers what are all the things you have loved? Should we put in babysitting vouchers or is that too soon?

Thanks for any ideas.

Hi,
I have a bunch of staff for baby hamper in my etsy shop - BundleofJoyGiftShop. I also sell them individually- swaddle muslins, baby toys, handknitted blankets. Let me know if interested and I can send pictures.

Yes to babysitting vouchers! Even if she doesn’t take you up on them, knowing that you have friends around to help means a lot.

I often add this vintage baby milestone book in to hampers for new mums: https://www.trotters.co.uk/products/vintage-baby-book

Eden & Anais muslins - cute prints and will last for years.
If she’s breastfeeding and planning to continue for a while, some washable breast pads. Eg pop-in’s from JoJo. Eco friendly and will save her money.
Definitely a voucher for a massage/facial.
A small colourful rattle that has a ring on it to attach to pram.
Jungly tails book.
A voucher for baby sitting (to be used for her to go out or just go to bed for a nap!)
Good luck!

Take a look at Etsy shop - WhiteEucalyptusUK

It's got lots of lovely little letterbox hampers, one especially for new Mums and Mums to be, with relaxing eye masks and pick-me-up treats.  It's even got Teachers presents sorted for end of term.

Highly recommend ... and it's local!
