Wild weekend 10-12 September – 40% off tickets – in Sussex an hour from London

We’ve just come back last bank holiday weekend from a fabulous little family festival called Into the Wild which was held in beautiful countryside just south of East Grinstead in Sussex, about an hour away. The organisers have been doing smaller ‘wild weekend’ events with a very similar line up of performers and events throughout the summer and there’s one left on the 10th September.

Our kids are 7 and 8 and they LOVED it, but it would be great fun for toddlers to pre-teens I’d have thought. The smaller size of the site this year means you can pitch your tent very close to where everything is happening and it’s really easy to get around.  From our kids’ point of view, the highlights were…
Making pretty dragon fly models with wicker and papier machee
Live music at night in the beautiful glade
A fantastic comedy and magic show from Fiery Jack
Making jewellery with beads lesson
Dancing in the big tent

I enjoyed a Qi Gong session, as well as the fantastic food on offer (Indian/Thai/Lebanese/pizza), drumming groups and the acoustic music all over the site. There is a no alcohol and drugs policy but plenty of people enjoy a few drinks at their tent (or discretely on site), and it’s actually really nice that there aren’t any people staggering around off their faces when it’s such a child focused event.  There’s so much going on – singing, talks, archery, falconry, yoga, tons of crafts. The vast majority of the activities are included in the ticket price.
It’s a very different experience from the big music festivals but no less enjoyable in its own way. It’s much smaller scale, very little queuing or hassle, feels incredibly safe so kids have the freedom to run around and there are loads of things to do. The forecast is for 21-23 degrees and dry which is perfect camping weather.
So if you fancy one last outdoorsy weekend under canvas, then take advantage of this decent discount to check out this wild weekend. The 40% discount brings the cost of an adult camping ticket down from £150 to £90 (+fees), and kids under 3 go free.
When purchasing choose your tickets, enter your details and you’ll have the chance to enter the discount code GUY40SEPT10 before checking out.  The only snag is if you take kids, they will be badgering you to book again for next year before you even leave the site.
Enjoy.  https://events.liveit.io/into-the-wild- ... ber-10-12/
