Looking for Nuserys

Postby Ayeshaclaphamsouth » Fri Oct 22, 2021 3:26 pm

I have heard that certain nurseries are feeder nurseries for certain schools.

Does anyone know what nurseries feed broomwood, eaton house, Thomas's, Northcote Lodge?

It's all a bit of a minefield and I am a first time mum.

Thank you

There aren't feeder nurseries for those schools. Most of those do not do entry by assessment but by registration at birth. Thomas's was previously assessment but has also been a lottery system the past two years.

You'll find that most nurseries between the Commons send children to those schools every year, and also to the local state primaries. It's all mixed.

Popular and well-regarded nurseries in the area include the Marmalade group, Alphabet Nursery, and Mousehole. All of them recommend registration at birth.

Good luck!

Agree with the above. There was a perception that marmalade cat and mouse hole were feeders for Thomas’s but it was never 100% true, and with the lottery system that no longer applies.

We have children at Eaton house and lthe other kids come from a wide range of nurseries. Don’t stress!

The Willow Nursery School in Clapham Old Town is definetly worth a visit. It's a small well-established nursery that provides a fantastic start to any little person who's lucky to go there!

Yes I agree The Willow Nursery in Grafton Square.  Fab school - with a new Forest School area and outdoor learning sessions.  Brilliant at preparing children for big school and is now offering a 'Stay and Play' session every Monday 9.30am to take 18month - 2 year olds to try it out.  Give it a go!
