Hi everyone - looking for some general guidance and suggestions here.....we have a toddler who will be starting at school next year.  We need to look at wraparound care options (to cover collection from school, and then care through to 6 or 6.30pm), but have heard that this is increasingly hard to find.  Is that correct?  We would be open to someone who isn't a professional nanny, but are unsure what we are really asking for.....- are there any au pairs left now, post-Brexit?  Do people ever combine a bit of cleaning or domestic type work with childcare?  Do nanny-shares work for these kinds of hours?  Are there students of childcare who need practical experience?  Where does one look for suitable candidates.....are there particular places to advertise?  Otherwise, are there other solutions available for reception age (I understand that there isn't much by way of after school clubs for such a young age)?  We are around the Clapham Common Northside/Lavender Hill side of town.  

Thanks in advance for any thoughts - we are feeling pretty daunted by this one!!

Does the school which your child will be attending offer wraparound care?

Are their childminders collecting from that school (you could try asking parents at the gates at pick up or contact the Council’s Family Information Service).

If you’d prefer childcare in your home some people use Koru Kids (after school childcare agency) or you can advertise for an after school nanny. Not sure what is the most current method these days (!) but a few years ago people might post here or on local Facebook group.

You could also ask the school to ask their teaching assistants if any is interested in doing after-school hours for you, though I think they're not brought on board until closer to the start of term.
Nanny share - yes, if you find another family at the school with the same/complementary needs to your own. Contact the PTA at the school as there may be something like Classlist (parent networking app) where parents can post. 
Au pairs - tougher now post-Brexit but still possible. Cost effective and offers flexibility. But it's a bit of a minefield. (If you sign up for free on Lifeminco.com there is a detailed guide to au pairs!)
Nanny+housekeeper - at your child's age, no. 
Otherwise, post on here, FB local groups, Nextdoor. Find someone who's advertised for something similar to what you want and reuse it.
