Eckstein road

Postby JGuz » Wed Apr 13, 2022 7:22 am

Hi all

I wonder if Eckstein road is good location to buy a flat?
In terms of schools etc?
And just in general if it’s a nice road to live on?

Thanks :)

On positive side it’s not a through road , as blocked on St. John’s road side . Also close to the shops on St. John road and northcote rd and handy to have M&S food and Waitrose so close.

Saying that you get a lot of vagrants hanging around in that pedestrian area outside Lloyds bank on the Eckstein Road. Also St John Rd gets busy , so I guess depends which end of Eckstein Rd you are on.

In terms of schools, you are on the edge of Belleville school catchment zone in a normal class size year but would probably get in I would think but it’s a suboptimal location.

Good luck with the search and purchase !

Second everything written above. Very convenient for transport. Slightly grittier than streets south of Battersea Rise. Personally, that location would have been too far from Belleville for my comfort if that was the school I was aiming to get into. As the person above said, you would likely get in if it was an ordinary year, but I would want a closer location if I was buying a flat with the aim of getting into that school.
