Hi, every hospital in the nhs has community midwives. They are responsible to look after their ladies within catchment areas of their borough. However you would come under the care of community midwives within your own local area from your nearest hospital. These midwives offer postnatal care for up to 28 days after your birth and should ring you once you get home from hospital. You can give birth at any hospital you choose but when you’re home your community care will always revert back to your nearest hospital trust. Each trust has different policies on home visits because of covid but as far as I am aware they can ask you to visit their clinics for your postnatal checks but they should do home visits especially post section. I hope this helps.
