Would like to throw a surprise dinner party for around 20 people for my husband's birthday. I am hoping to ask someone to do the catering so that I can enjoy it too. Not looking for anything overly fussy but having never done this before I would love to get a recommendation and if possible a price per head indication form anyone who has. Thinking canapes with drinks to start and then 3 courses. I will probably sort alcohol. Thanks.

Highly recommend Your Undercover Cook who catered a delicious birthday lunch party for us in May. Caroline was very friendly and helped us sort out the menu and delivered all the items to our house with easy instructions and most of the food in serving dishes ready for the table. Great value too.

We’ve used Emily Preece and she is excellent

She brings a waiter, and between them, they set the table, cook and serve and the food, and then tidy up
