I have an unpainted wooden one, very good condition and well looked after. We had many years of good service from it as it can be adjusted from a high chair to become a chair that a young child can use at the family table without having their legs dangling - promotes a good sitting position. Also, I liked to have our baby sitting at the table with the family rather than away from everyone in their own built in table - I threw my first high chair away when I realised this. Itās so much harder to observe and learn good table manners if they are sitting away from everyone else!
As for stubbing toes, yes, you will do it at least once, as you would with any new piece of furniture that suddenly arrives in your house but, once you know itās there, youāre unlikely to keep doing it!
