My husband and I would like to buy my daughter a toy kitchen for Christmas. There are lots out there, are there any of these more suitable than others for children under three? Any suggestions welcome. Thanks!
I'd recommend the ikea one. It's wooden and you can get lovely accessories for it too. I know so many happy toddlers who love it.
It's an absolute bargain at the moment at £60 for the bottom and top bit (usually £90) and it's even available for on-line delivery so you don't have to brave the shop!
Only downside is that you have to build it, but I left that to my husband!!
Also have a look at the Great Little Trading Co.. www.gltc.co.uk They have lovely kitchens, different sizes etc. We also bought a kitchen for our little one for Christmas

I second GLTC, ours has lasted years (5 and counting - 2 children) and still looks great and gets played with daily (we got the three separate blocks so that you can position it into corners / different places as needed).
The ikea ones looks super cool and are lots cheaper though. Accessories are great in there too.
We bought ours from George at Asda and it has survived two rough and tumble kind of kids and is still going strong. Lots of options there that won't break the bank.
