A family celebration - ideas please

Postby cantcomplain » Wed Feb 17, 2016 6:40 pm

Hello All
Hoping that some of you might be able to help with a recommendation for a large house rental to accommodate a family of 13 adults and teenagers in July/August this year.
We are celebrating a very big birthday and want to spend a few days together somewhere nice.
Ideally we'd be in the middle of England so that it's accessible to all of our far-flung family
If we were able to bring along one dog, that would be a boon
Doesn't need to be super-swish, just comfortable
Preferably not big-budget as we are non of us all massively flush - and some a little strapped
We'd also like to hear about any hotels you might know of as well
Many thanks in advance

You could look at renting a house at Lower Mill Estate, near Cirencester. We have a holiday rental house there, although it's not big enough for your group, but the Estate's own rental company (google the Estate and their website has a link to it) has some larger properties on its books and prices vary. If you're splitting the cost between 13 people, it's pretty good on a per person per night rate and they also do weekend breaks so you don't have to pay for a full week if you only want s few days. The good thing about LME is there's lots to do, with pools, spa and tennis, canoe hire, that kind of thing, so teens can go swimming or whatever while adults chill out.
