I'm looking for recommendations to get the smear test done privately. I'm aware we can do it for free with a GP every three years but it feels like a long time in comparison to other countries where the advice is to do it every year. Has anyone done it privately just as a matter of routine? Thanks.

Any private gynaecologist will do it. I’ve used a couple of the guys at Chelsea and Westminster before- you can find all their profiles online. My recommendation would be for Mr Shane Duffy- least painful smears I’ve ever had!

Hello, I believe that if you are worried about it you can talk to your GP and they might arrange for you to have one sooner, it is worth a try!
